While the animated series has concluded, Tinker Bell is far from retired. Disney is currently developing a high-priority project titled Tink for Disney+. This new iteration is being developed as a live-action series, with writers Liz Heldens and Bridget Carpenter leading the creative team. This marks a significant shift for the character, moving her back into the live-action realm for the first time since the original source material inspired various adaptations.
Starting in 2008, Disney’s Toon Studios launched a series of computer-animated films that explored Tink’s origin and her life among other fairies. These films moved away from the silent portrayal of the character, giving her a voice (Mae Whitman) and a professional title: a "tinker-talent" fairy. The chronological order of the films is: Tinker Bell (2008) Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure (2009) Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue (2010) Secret of the Wings (2012) The Pirate Fairy (2014) Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast (2014) The Cancelled Seventh Film Tinkerbell Full Movie
