When the series was first dubbed, the producers chose to skip the entire Fugitive Arc (Episodes 49–63) to jump straight back into the canon story starting at Episode 64.

The episode establishes the central conflict of the arc: Xeno and Lilith are fugitives fleeing from their home planet, , while being pursued by a man named Giev and his companion Charon . By the end of the episode, the Tamakoma squad finds themselves drawn into protecting these refugees from Giev’s advanced Trion soldier attacks.
