Cole & Cassie - Glowing In The Dark May 2026

The relationship between Cole and Cassie in 12 Monkeys is a masterclass in "star-crossed" storytelling, defined by the paradox of finding light within an impending apocalypse. The concept of "Glowing in the Dark" perfectly encapsulates their bond—a connection that doesn’t just survive the end of the world, but is actually forged by it. The Light of Purpose

In the end, Cole and Cassie’s legacy isn't just the survival of the human race, but the proof that love is a temporal constant. Even when the world ends, and even when memories are wiped, they remain two souls forever "glowing in the dark." Cole & Cassie - Glowing In The Dark

Ultimately, their story is about the sacrifice of the individual for the whole. Cole is told he must be erased to save the world, which would mean extinguishing the very light he found with Cassie. Yet, the series concludes on the idea that "the cycles are over." Their ability to find one another across centuries suggests that some connections are so bright they leave a permanent stain on time itself. They don't just exist in the dark; they redefine it. The relationship between Cole and Cassie in 12

At the start, Cole and Cassie are opposites: a scavenger from a grey, dying future and a doctor dedicated to preserving life in a vibrant present. Their initial "glow" is purely functional—they are tethered by a mission to stop a plague. However, as the timeline fractures, their shared trauma becomes a beacon. In a world where the future is written in ash, their devotion to one another becomes the only thing that isn't predetermined. They aren't just fighting to save the world; they are fighting to maintain the only reality that feels "bright"—each other. Radiance in the Red Forest Even when the world ends, and even when

The metaphor of "glowing in the dark" turns literal with the threat of the Red Forest—a timeless void where everything exists at once. While the Witnesses offer a false, frozen "light," Cole and Cassie choose the flicker of a mortal, messy life. Their love is most radiant when things are at their darkest, such as their time at House of Cedar and Pine. These brief moments of domestic peace are "glows" in the vast darkness of a collapsing timeline, proving that even a temporary light is worth more than eternal darkness. The Paradox of Choice

¿What is a musical scale?

A scale is a set of musical notes ordered as a well-defined sequence of intervals (tones and semitones). A semitone is the minimum distance between two consecutive notes in any tempered scale (12 equal semitones per octave). In other words, a semitone is also the distance between two consecutive keys on the piano. For example, the distance between C and C# (black key next to C), or the distance between E and F (both being white keys). However, the distance between C and D, for example, is a full tone (or two semitones).

Musical scales are an essential part of music improvisation and composition. Practicing scales will provide you with the necessary skills to play different styles of music like Jazz, Flamenco or Blues. You can also use scales to create your own melodies and set the mood of your piece.

Any chosen scale can be transported to any tonal center (e.g. E minor and A minor both use the same minor scale). The tonal center or tonic is the note where the scale hierarchy starts and it is represented on the virtual piano with a darker blue dot. When playing music under a particular scale, you should normally avoid any key without a blue dot, although composers sometimes use altered notes which are not within the scale.

Notes in a scale do not need to be played in a particular order, you can play them in any order you like, so feel free to improvise!
